Take a step back in time to a mystical place - The Salton Sea once seen as a veritable entertainment mecca for the Desert enthusiasts. This town is an artists heaven and embraces the mysterious and artistic talents of the post apocalyptic visionaries. A wonder to behold and take in with sweltering heat topping 110 degrees. I will be posting many more from this trip in a series of 10 over the next two weeks.
Born In Miami Florida in the 1960's and fortunate enough to have lived in the era where (and when) the past was still visible through automobiles and unpaved roads (although few and far between), my early memories were of beaches and mountain scenery on vacations in the Vista Cruiser. My mother, father and four siblings shaped my thoughts and interests and biased them in a way which was not clear to me at the time. Later in life I found myself stopping my car on the way to or from work in an effort to capture the sights and surroundings that move me, and realized that part of what I was looking for were images that brought me back to some of those magical childhood moments, touching my heart and mind.
